HOW TO BLOW DRY HAIR: Section Hair You should only blow dry

PURE KERATIN on 25th Aug 2020

Section Hair

You should only blow dry hair after you have washed and conditioned your hair.

You should apply a spray leave-in conditioner or a very light creamy leave-in conditioner.

You can create sections by parting your hair down the middle and then dividing each of those halves into two leaving you with 4 sections.

You will work with these for sections throughout the steps. Pin them up between sections.

Apply Styling Products

Now, you need a serum and a straightening lotion. You can try  ARGAN OIL CONDITIONER SPRAY .

Take about a quarter dollop of the straightening lotion and a dime-sized amount of the serum and mix it in the palm of your hands before applying to your first section of hair.

Then detangle with a wide-tooth comb. Do this again for the remaining 3 sections.

Air Dry

Your sections should now be pinned up. It is always best to blow dry hair after you have let it air dry for a little while.

So now your 4 sections should be pinned up. Let them air dry for a little while - maybe an hour or so. Or you can even sit under a hooded dryer for 20 minutes.

This will reduce the amount of time that heat is being used to dry your hair.

The Right Blow Dryer

The easiest type of blow dryer to use for maximum straightness is a blow dryer with a comb attachment. (Not a regular blow dryer with a pik attachment; those are a little clunky to work with).

The Andis Hair Dryer with 3 Attachments is really good dryer to try. These blow dryers come with 3 attachments: a brush, a wide comb, and a fine tooth comb.

You are going to be using the wide tooth comb. Your hair now ready to be blown dry.

Blow Dry Method

Take down one of your hair sections and detangle it once more. You may need to break up each section in half.

Now, let's blow dry hair! Turn the blow dryer on the hot section (unfortunately, the cool won't work for this particular method).

Start the at the roots and keep the dryer moving from the roots to just before the ends. Save the ends for last once the rest of the hair is dry. Make sure to keep the dryer moving so that it doesn't get too hot.

Finish one section and move on to the next, pinning up completed sections as you go.

Blow Dry Shape

When you're done with all sections, unpin them all and comb through making sure it's all detangled and there are no wet sections.

Now, remove the wide-tooth comb attachment and attach the fine-tooth one.

Gently go through your hair once more. If you're finding the fine-tooth comb is snagging your hair some, then disregard this step. It simply adds a little extra final straightness that puts your hair in the final shape that you want.

Add More Shine

The last step to blow dry hair is to take a little bit more  PURE ARGAN OIL FOR HAIR TREATMENT on the palm of your hands and smooth throughout your hair concentrating on your ends.

Now, you are ready to proceed to your next step which may be simply curling or it may be flat ironing.

Conclusion

We hope this step-by-step guide has given you an easy way to blow dry hair quickly and effectively.

Drying hair this way will help you eliminate the flat iron altogether (especially if you are relaxed) and will give you a straighter look.

It is also much easier than the blow dryer and brush method! Good luck!
